Why Jersi Grace? According to Jack:
I got to pick the name because it was a girl. If it had been a boy, my wife would have picked the name. We have all J's in our family, and we are Christians. I found Jersi in a book, and there's a corny baseball connection (to jersey), even though it is spelled in a different way. It's not a household name. I like that.I'm not sure what being a Christian has to do with it, but the couple already has Jacob and Jaidyn.
So what does Jersi mean? Well, they modified the name Jersey (most notable for New Jersey, USA), which is disputed. It may have come from the German surname Jerzey (which is from the name George and means "farmer") or it may have been English. Who knows? For Jack and Julie, the meaning of a baseball jersey is good enough!
