It's a Girl for Chris Burke

Chris Burke of the Houston Astros (the third birth for this team in recent memory!) and his wife, Sara, welcomed their daughter into the world on October 5th. The couple named her Sidney Lynn.

What does the name mean? Sidney, traditionally a male name (the common spelling for girls is Sydney), is a place name that means "wide island." Lynn, another unisex name, is from an English surname and means "lake." A very watery name for this child!
